Ondaland Kicks Off Summer Early: “€1 Million in New Attractions—and We’re Still Hiring”

Italy’s largest water park unveils extensively redesigned areas, including a new VIP zone inspired by the famous Twiga beach club.

Italy’s largest water park is welcoming summer ahead of schedule, with the new season opening on Saturday.

“Ondaland,” says Managing Director Daniele Vailati, “was acquired by Seafood Parchi after the 2022 season, during which we were responsible only for its management. Hoping for the same favorable weather we enjoyed last year, we are reopening one week earlier than the May 28 opening of the previous season.”

Over €1 Million Invested in New Attractions

During the winter, the park underwent significant renovations.

“Our investment in upgrading the attractions and introducing major new entertainment experiences exceeded €1 million,” Vailati explains.

Among the highlights are:

  • A brand-new children’s pool with themed water games in the new Pirate Lagoon area.
  • An exclusive daily stage production of the Peter Pan Musical, performed by a professional theatre company on a specially designed outdoor stage.
  • Innovative Manolò mini boats for younger guests.
  • An 8,000-watt professional sound system combined with a daily Foam Party as part of the park’s entertainment programme for adults.

New VIP Experience and Online Reservations

Ondaland continues to focus on premium guest services and innovation.

“We have introduced the possibility to reserve the shaded areas beneath our 500 new umbrellas online,” says Vailati. “Most importantly, guests can now book our exclusive VIP areas, inspired by the atmosphere of the famous Twiga beach club, featuring 25-square-metre wooden platforms, gazebos, sun loungers and dedicated services.”

Guests can also choose their preferred location through an interactive online map, using a booking system similar to selecting seats in a cinema.

New Facilities and Spritz Island

Among this year’s additional improvements are:

  • 1,200 lockers with personalized access codes.
  • 12 self-service payment stations distributed throughout the park to improve convenience.
  • Spritz Island, a new cocktail bar located in the scenic Onde Solarium area.

120 Employees Needed for the Season

During the peak season, Ondaland expects to employ around 120 staff members.

“Recruitment is still ongoing,” Vailati concludes. “We are experiencing significant difficulties in finding employees, despite having launched recruitment campaigns as early as March. Nevertheless, we remain confident that we will have the full team in place in time for what we expect to be a particularly important season.”

The park will be open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A 7-entry season pass is available for €89.
